SEARCHING FOR NEW HAUNTS: Slip on the Docs arid glide over to Sanctuary, vampire sex bar and “the watering hole of the living dead.” They celebrated their move to a new site last week, with an open invite to the alternative community to drop by. Taking them up on the offer were [022-024, L&R] nightclub entrepreneurs and newlyweds Paul and Brenda Sameuls, who are still in the first century of their marriage. Lounging in the belfry were [022-025, R&L] Death Records recording artist Marcus McDonald and his paramour, Ritz. KICK UP YOUR HEELS: Fast change into cowboy boots for Toronto’s newest country bar, the Saloon. Bigger than your average barn and shaped like a horseshoe, the club’s doors swung wide open last week, and greeting the customers was [022-033, L-R] Dann Peters, MC and bass player/singer in the house band Wayward, seen here getting chummy with his boss Andy Senyi, the president of the club. Cowgirls [022-034, L-R] bartender Lisa Yolnar and promoter Sue Stanley were doing their best to avoid the blues, while [022-035] model Kelly Kuz and professional golfer Ron Kimel took in the atmosphere on the back nine. CHA CHA CHA: Friday was the night to dig out your dancing shoes when the Inside Out Collective threw a Latin Salsa Dance Party for the Lesbian & Gay Film Festival of Toronto at El Convento Rico. Among the entertainers on the stage was [022-045] Flamenco Luna. Among the entertainers in the audience was [022-046, R] comedian Elvira Kurt, getting a show of affection from girl-about-town Janis Purdy.
